Humphrey

One of the girls in my church just got a new puppy and he is just so adorable that I couldn't resist but to ask to take some pics of him. His name is Humphrey and he's got these big floppy ears and big feet that he stumbles over when he's galloping along. So sweet! Here's a few of the pics I took of him!

Darren & Amy Watts Wedding - My Bro Got Married!

This Saturday my brother got married to an awesome girl named Amy. Although I was not the official photographer at the wedding I was welcomed by Darren and Amy and their photographers to join in the photo-taking portion of the day. Their photographers were related by marriage to Amy, Mark (Amy's brother-in-law AND one of Darren's groomsmen) and David of Chapter One Photography. They were pretty amazing. It was awesome watching Mark smoothly move between photo-taking and photo-posing as one of the groomsmen - Once a photographer, ALWAYS a photographer! They're ideas for photos were inspiring and I learned a lot just by observing the two of them and shooting over their shoulders.

Amy did however ask me to bring my empty frame because she's seen a photo that I took with it and loved it so she wanted some wedding photos with it and the guys of Chapter One graciously allowed me to set up and shoot those shots myself. As hot and sweaty as I was in my wedding attire I loved every minute of it! It was great experience as I do have a couple of weddings coming up this summer that I'm shooting.

'I Heart Faces' Weekly Photo Challenge - "Over My Head"

When I heard that this weeks photo challenge theme was 'Over My Head' this is the first photo that came to my mind. This shot is from a recent engagement session that I did. The couple was lots of fun and so playful with each other that we got some really great shots out of our time together. This was one of our first shots and one of my personal faves. I think it illustrates the theme, 'Over My Head', perfectly. ;)

Print Sales

A couple shots of me at my print sales at Cultus Lake's 'Market in the Park'. Sales have gone fairly well and I'm learning lots from i and enjoying myself at the same time. It's also a great way to get my name out there. The Market is small and perfect for just getting started. For the last 6 years or so that the Market has been happening (Saturdays from 10-3pm) I've been on the other side of the tables as a shopper and a good friend of mine suggested a few months ago that I try selling my prints at it this summer - so far so good!
